Terms of Use
Argumento is a digital platform ("the Platform") that helps attorneys build and manage their professional profiles, presenting their specialization, experience, and offered services to potential clients. The Platform provides a convenient and efficient way for clients to independently discover and select an attorney according to their needs. Through Argumento, attorneys can increase their visibility, receive client inquiries, and interact with clients in a structured and user-friendly manner.
Argumento is not a law firm and does not provide legal representation or legal advice within the meaning of applicable U.S. law, including but not limited to the American Bar Association's Model Rules of Professional Conduct. At no time is an attorney-client relationship established between Argumento and users of the Platform. All legal services are provided solely by licensed and verified attorneys listed on the Platform, and Argumento does not act as an intermediary in negotiating or performing legal services.
Please read these Terms of Use carefully, as they govern your access to and use of the website www.argumento.bg, which is owned and operated by Argumento.
1. General Provisions
These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the operator of the Platform, establishing the rights and obligations associated with access to and use of the Platform. Your acceptance of these Terms of Use, or any action taken via the website, constitutes your express acknowledgment that you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and enter into a contractual relationship with Argumento.
If at any time you do not accept or wish to be bound by these Terms of Use, you must immediately discontinue use of the website.
In connection with the services provided, Argumento processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which you may review [here] and which forms an integral part of these Terms of Use.
Argumento reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time, with changes becoming effective upon publication on the Platform. Attorneys will be notified of any such changes via email or through a notification in their account.

2. Definitions
For ease of understanding, the following terms are used with the meanings indicated below:
"Platform" / "Website" – a collection of interconnected web pages (including subdomains) accessible via the website www.argumento.bg, through which services may be provided by the Operator.
"Operator" – Argumento DPK (“Argumento”), Company Registration Number (EIK) 208193699, with registered office at 111R Tsarigradsko Shose Blvd., fl. 1, Sofia 1784, Bulgaria.
(Note: If Argumento intends to operate in the U.S., it must be formed as a legal entity under U.S. state law and registered with an appropriate Secretary of State)
"User" – any natural or legal person who uses the Platform's services for personal purposes, unrelated to their trade, business, craft, or profession.
(Note: Under U.S. law, consumer protection laws may apply to such users. Please ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws.)
"Attorney" – any natural or legal person using the Platform in connection with their trade, business, craft, or profession as a licensed legal practitioner.
(Note: In the U.S., only individuals may be licensed to practice law. Law firms may be legal entities, but they must consist of licensed attorneys. Adaptation to U.S. practice may be required here.)
"Profile" / "Professional Profile" – a collection of public personal data and/or information associated with an Attorney registered on the Platform in connection with the practice of law, in accordance with applicable professional standards, including the Model Rules of Professional Conduct, state licensing requirements, and other applicable ethical regulations in the jurisdiction where the attorney is licensed. These data enable access to and use of the relevant services.
"Business Directory" – a searchable list of Attorney Professional Profiles that Users may freely view in detail and filter based on predefined criteria to match their legal needs.
"Services" – all free and paid services provided by Argumento that enable Attorneys to use the Platform's features.
"Subscription" – an individual agreement between the Attorney and the Operator, entered into for a defined or indefinite period, which grants access to the Platform’s Services in exchange for the payment of a Subscription Fee.
"Subscription Fee" – the total amount owed by the Attorney for use of the Platform’s Services for the period covered by the selected Subscription.
"Client" – a User who is seeking legal assistance through the Platform.
3. Access to the Platform. Subscriptions. Payments
3.1. Access to the Platform is open and entirely free for all Users. Users may, if they choose, register a personal User account.
3.2. Access to the Platform’s features by Attorneys is available only after registering a Professional Profile. Creating and managing a Professional Profile is free of charge; however, access to certain Services is available only upon purchasing the corresponding Subscription.
3.3. Detailed information regarding the Subscriptions offered by the Operator—including their duration, pricing, and payment methods—is available at www.argumento.bg/for-lawyers or via a personalized offer sent to the Attorney.
3.4. Argumento reserves the right to modify, remove, suspend, or discontinue Subscription Fees and/or Services included in a Subscription at any time and at its sole discretion, provided that such changes do not affect any active, prepaid Subscriptions.
3.5. By purchasing a Subscription, the Attorney agrees to automatic renewal of the Subscription, in which case Argumento will charge the Attorney’s account/card the applicable Subscription Fee for the same duration as the initial term. If the Attorney does not wish to renew automatically, they must cancel at least 3 days before the current term ends by contacting Argumento at office@argumento.ai or using the Platform's billing portal services.
3.6. Upon cancellation of the Subscription, the Attorney’s Professional Profile will be converted to a basic Profile with access only to the Platform’s free Services.
3.7. The Subscription Fee is payable in advance for the selected Subscription term and is non-refundable, even if the Attorney deactivates their Profile before the end of the prepaid period or otherwise discontinues active use of the Profile.
3.8. In the event of a change in the Subscription plan, the new terms will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. If the Attorney upgrades to a higher-tier plan, the fee difference will be charged proportionally.
4. Contract Formation and Termination
4.1. Attorneys who wish to use the Platform's features must complete a registration form to create a Professional Profile. Only one Professional Profile per Attorney is permitted on the Platform.
4.2. To complete the registration process, the Attorney must provide the necessary information and express the following consents:
a) agreement to and acceptance of these Terms of Use;
b) agreement to and acceptance of the Privacy Policy;
c) a declaration that they possess the required competence and qualifications, and are actively practicing law in accordance with the applicable law.
4.3. Registration is considered successful after verification by the Operator and confirmation sent to the Attorney’s provided email address. Confirmation shall be issued within 48 hours of the registration request. Argumento reserves the right to deny access to the Platform and Services to any Attorney who does not meet the registration requirements.
4.4. Upon successful registration, a binding contract between Argumento and the Attorney is deemed concluded.
4.5. Free Services become available immediately after successful registration.
4.6. Access to paid Services is granted only after both successful registration and purchase of the corresponding Subscription.
4.7. The contract is concluded for an indefinite term. The Attorney may terminate the contract at any time in accordance with Article 3.5 by notifying the Operator at office@argumento.bg.
4.8. Argumento reserves the right to suspend or terminate Services under any of the following circumstances:
a) If Argumento is dissolved, enters into liquidation, or files for bankruptcy;
b) If Argumento discontinues its operations or ceases support for the Platform;
c) If the Attorney violates these Terms of Use. In the event of such a violation, Argumento will send a written notice via email specifying the breach and granting the Attorney a 7-day period to remedy the issue. If the violation is not remedied within the allotted time, Argumento may terminate Services;
d) In the case of serious violations of law or these Terms of Use, Argumento may immediately terminate Services without prior notice.
5. Rights and Obligations of Attorneys
5.1. Attorneys have the right to lawfully use the Platform’s features in accordance with these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.
5.2. Attorneys may register a single Professional Profile in the Business Directory, which will be publicly visible to all Platform Users. The Profile must include at minimum the following information:
a) Full name of the Attorney
b) Recent portrait photo with a clear background
c) Legal specialization – at least one area of practice
d) Number of years of experience
e) Contact phone number
f) Contact email address
g) Geographic area of operation
h) Working language(s)
i) Brief biography (education, qualifications, and specific experience), and other relevant details
5.3. Attorneys are required to maintain accurate and up-to-date information in their Profile, updating or supplementing it as needed.
5.4. Attorneys have the right to receive client inquiries via the contact details listed in their Profile. Attorneys may independently determine their work methods and legal fees and are entitled to propose them directly to Users. Attorneys may issue invoices and/or enter into legal service agreements directly with Users, in which Argumento is not a party.
5.5. Attorneys have the right to decline a client inquiry if it falls outside their declared area of expertise or for any other valid reason. In such cases, they are expected to act in good faith and maintain a high standard of professionalism and courtesy when communicating with Users.
5.6. Attorneys agree not to disclose any personal or sensitive information, data, or communications provided by Users through the use of the Platform.
5.7. Attorneys are responsible for safeguarding their login credentials, including email and password, and must not use another Attorney’s Profile, register with another person’s information, or allow third parties to use their own Professional Profile.
5.8. Attorneys must not interfere with the full or partial functionality of the Platform, overload the network traffic, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform, its servers, or the Operator’s infrastructure.
5.9. Attorneys bear full responsibility for all content they publish, submit, or share through their Profile—including but not limited to written, audio, visual, or other forms of information—and shall be liable without limitation for any resulting consequences or damages.
6. Rights and Obligations of the Operator
6.1. The Operator reserves the right to make changes to the Platform and its Services for the purpose of maintenance, development, or quality improvement. The Operator may expand or restrict the scope of Services at any time at its sole discretion and is not obligated to justify its commercial decisions.
6.2. The Operator may update Subscription Fees and/or the Services included in a Subscription at any time and at its discretion. Affected parties will be duly notified of such changes. The Operator shall not make changes that negatively impact Attorneys with existing and prepaid Subscriptions.
6.3. The Operator may temporarily or permanently block access to the Services and/or an Attorney’s Professional Profile under the following circumstances:
a) Upon reasonable evidence of a violation of these Terms of Use or applicable law by the Attorney;
b) If the Attorney uses language or expressions that are offensive, misleading, promote violence, or are racist, discriminatory, sexist, or otherwise inappropriate;
6.3. Suspension of Access
The Operator reserves the right to temporarily or permanently suspend access to the Services and Attorney Profiles under any of the following circumstances:
a) When there are specific indications of a violation by the Attorney of these Terms of Use or applicable U.S. federal, state, or local law.
b) When the Attorney uses language that is offensive, inappropriate, false, incites violence, or includes hate speech, discriminatory, sexist, or otherwise prohibited content under applicable civil rights and anti-harassment laws.
c) In cases of delay or non-payment of fees owed in connection with the use of the Platform’s Services.
6.4. Attorney Verification
The Operator exercises reasonable care in verifying Attorneys who register on the Platform. This includes due diligence procedures to confirm their identity and active licensure with the relevant state bar or licensing authority. However, the Operator cannot guarantee the continued validity of an Attorney’s license or status at any given time.
6.5. Legal Information Accuracy
The Operator takes reasonable steps to maintain accurate, reliable, and comprehensive legal information on the Platform. Nevertheless, due to the dynamic nature of laws and judicial decisions, some information may not be entirely current or accurate.
6.6. Platform Updates
The Operator reserves the right to update the Platform and its features, which may involve temporary restriction or suspension of access. Notice of upcoming updates, along with any usage instructions, will be provided to you in a timely manner via email, through the Platform, or by other appropriate means.
7. Liability
7.1. Role of Attorneys and Platform
Legal services are provided by Attorneys registered and verified on the Platform, who act as independent contractors. The Operator is not liable for any advice, opinions, or statements made by Attorneys via the Platform’s Services. Users should direct any claims or disputes directly to the respective Attorney. The Operator is not a party to the attorney-client agreement between Clients and Attorneys and is not liable for any failure or delay in the performance of obligations by either party.
7.2. Quality of Legal Services
The Operator is not liable for the quality or reliability of legal services provided and is not responsible for any misconduct or malpractice by Attorneys. All disputes regarding the quality of legal services are to be resolved directly between the Client and the Attorney, without involvement of the Operator.
7.3. Platform’s Role in Communication
The Operator provides only the infrastructure for online communication and/or consultations and does not participate in these processes. In the event of complaints, the Operator may temporarily restrict a User’s access to the Platform's services until the matter is resolved.
7.4. Profile Information
The Operator does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information published in Attorney Profiles.
7.5. Intellectual Property Infringement
The Operator is not liable for any copyright infringement committed by Users and/or Attorneys on the Platform.
7.6. Platform Functionality
The Operator makes reasonable efforts to maintain the functionality of the Platform, but cannot guarantee that all features will be continuously available or free from errors. The Operator is not liable for periods of unavailability due to force majeure events, technical issues, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
7.7. Data Security
The security of information provided on the Platform is maintained through commercially reasonable technical measures. However, the internet is not a fully secure environment.
7.8. User Responsibility
Use of the Platform is at the User’s own risk. The Operator is not responsible for data loss, unauthorized access, or technical issues that occur outside its reasonable control.
7.9. Failure to Perform Obligations
The Operator is not liable for any failure to fulfill its obligations resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, cyberattacks, third-party service outages, or legal/regulatory changes.
8. Confidentiality
8.1. Definition of Confidential Information
Confidential Information refers to any non-public information disclosed by one party (“Disclosing Party”) to the other party (“Receiving Party”) that is either explicitly marked as confidential or should reasonably be considered confidential given the nature of the information and the circumstances of disclosure.
8.2. Obligations of Confidentiality
The Receiving Party agrees not to disclose or use the Confidential Information of the Disclosing Party for any purpose other than as necessary to provide services or fulfill its obligations under this Agreement.
8.3. Mutual Duty to Safeguard Trade Secrets
The Attorney and the Platform Operator agree to protect each other’s rights, legitimate interests, and trade secrets that become known in the course of using the Platform.
8.4. Non-Disclosure of Communications
Both the Attorney and the Operator agree not to publicly disclose written or oral communications exchanged between them during and after the term of this Agreement. Public disclosure includes publishing such correspondence in print or digital media, internet forums, personal or public websites, or similar platforms.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1. Ownership of Website Content
Unless otherwise stated, all materials on the Website www.argumento.bg—including images, graphics, logos, and text—are the exclusive property of Argumento.
9.2. Copyright Protection
All information and materials on the Platform, including source code, are protected by applicable copyright laws and may not be used without proper authorization.
9.3. User Restrictions
Users may not copy, reproduce, distribute, display, share, sell, or otherwise use the content or any part of it without the prior written consent of Argumento. This restriction does not apply to Users’ own personal data and information.
9.4. Use With Attribution
Any use of Platform materials requires prior written consent and must include appropriate attribution to the original source.

10. Personal Data
10.1. Data Processing Compliance
The Platform Operator processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), where applicable.
10.2. Use and Protection of Data
Personal data is collected and processed solely for the purpose of providing services, with appropriate safeguards to ensure confidentiality. More information about your rights and how to exercise them can be found in our Privacy Policy, which is an integral part of these Terms of Use.
11. Miscellaneous
11.1. Conflicts With Other Agreements
In the event of a conflict between these Terms of Use and a separate agreement between the Platform Operator and the Attorney, the provisions of the separate agreement shall prevail.
11.2. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The Parties agree to replace any invalid term with one that best approximates its legal and commercial intent.
11.3. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Bulgaria, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
11.4. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes between the Attorney and the Platform Operator shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If resolution cannot be achieved, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in [Insert County and State].
11.5. Amendments
The Platform Operator reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use at any time to reflect legal, technical, or operational changes. Attorneys will be notified in advance and are responsible for reviewing any changes. Continued use of the Platform following such updates constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
